The Run down at Skoglund park

On Thursday morning the RSS seniors scuttled to Skoglund park for the cross country.

First thing Vanessa said was, "Get into to a line and sit down." I sat down it was so squishy it was like I was a banana getting squished. Then finally Vanessa said, "Stand up and walk nicely." I got up and said to myself, "What place am I going  to come? Am I going to be in front of Emily or behind?" I was really worried and then I got butterflies in my tummy but not literally.

When we started walking it was like we were already there but we weren't. Me, Emily and Abby where pretending to be tramping on a trip to Scotland. It was funny until we saw a dead bird squished flat on the ground like a pancake. It was not funny some people like Sam M laughed. I was saying at the same time as Emily, "Poor birdie." It was funny that we were talking at the same time we laughed. Then when we were walking these old people said, "Hello." I said "Hello,"back.

When we got there we had some brunch and then we got taken down to the track that we where running. When we were walking there were two bridges and at the second one Keri said, "Who's that trip trapping over my bridge."She was pretending to be a troll. Me and Emily looked at each other and laughed it was funny. Then when we had finished the walk around our track my legs were already tired because we had gone up the huge steps. I felt like collapsing on the ground.

Finally Troy called out "Year 3 girl come do warm ups." I raced over to him I still had butterflies in my tummy. I said to Emily, "Do you have butterflies in your tummy, "She said "no not really."We did star jumps, touch our toes reach for the sky.

Then Ebony said year 3 girls come and line up please I strolled over and I lined up and the horn went, "BBBBEEEEPPPP."I ran as fast as I could and then I put my self in a nice paste I went over two rusty bridges, round two sharp corners, up the huge bumpy stars and round the big green field and I then sore that finish line I said to myself, "Come on Charlotte u can do it."And then I was chasing Emily and then I crossed the finish line I had the stitch, I had all my water. I got a stick and it was orange that meant I came 5th I was so proud of myself.
I walked over to the shelter because it started to poor with rain and I was so Tiered that's why I didn't run. We got a nice warm ride home. In the bus I was talking to emily and looking out the window at the same time. I said to myself, "I can't wait to get home."

I felt like collapsing but I was still very proud of myself.
